ELEPHANTS PROJECT

PROJECT WITH THE ELEFANTES IN CHIANG MAI

FIRST PHASE

We rescue the elephants from riding sites, and places they are being abused.

We took away the famous skewer, based on positive reinforcement.

All our mahouts wear the big skewer Why? Because any company that doesn’t use this skewer so that the elephant, if it gets nervous, can see it, means that the another companys they use small skewers you don’t see. The big ones never need to be used, it just serves to reassure the elephants if at any time they get nervous.

Once they’re much calmer, we start to put them together with the rest of the elephants from the first phase.

They start doing the program with customers
