Aromatherapy Oil Massage – 60 Minutes
A 60-minute full-body aromatherapy oil massage in a private garden-spa room in Chiang Mai old town, using the house blend of locally extracted herbal oils.
- Duration
- 60 minutes
- Max group
- 2 pax

Where traditional Thai massage stretches and presses, an aromatherapy oil massage soothes. This is the treatment to book when you want to be lulled rather than worked on: long, flowing strokes with warm scented oil, slow enough that most guests are asleep before the halfway point.
The oil is the point of difference here. The spa produces its own line using active ingredients sourced from local herbs and extracted specifically for massage use, which means the scent is genuinely herbal rather than perfumed and the oil absorbs instead of sitting on the skin. The house range — body oils, lotions, shower gels and scrubs — is guaranteed to Thailand's quality standards, and the coffee scrub in the same line won a top award from the Thai Science and Technology Institute in 2017 for its soothing, brightening and anti-aging properties.
The setting is a small garden spa in the heart of the old town, a few minutes from Chiang Mai Gate, with private rooms and warm massage beds rather than curtained cubicles. The hour covers the whole body — back, shoulders, neck, arms, legs and feet — at a pressure you choose, and your therapist will work harder on the places you point out.
Free hotel pick-up around the old town area is included, along with herbal welcome tea, towels and shower facilities. Book a day ahead if you can, and consider the evening: walking back through the old town afterwards, smelling faintly of lemongrass, is one of the better ways to end a day in Chiang Mai.

Thai massage is done clothed and uses pressure along the energy lines plus assisted stretching. This is an oil massage on skin, with long flowing strokes and no stretching — much more relaxing, much less intense. Choose oil if you want to fall asleep, Thai if you want to be loosened up.
You undress to your own comfort level and are covered with draping throughout; only the area being worked on is uncovered. Showers are available afterwards.
The spa uses its own herbal blends. Mention any scent preference or sensitivity when you arrive and the therapist will use the most suitable one — or an unscented option if you prefer.
Yes — free pick-up around the old town area is advertised on the brochure. Give us your hotel name when you book and we will confirm the arrangement and the collection time. If you are staying outside the old town, tell us and we will check.
Yes, we recommend booking at least 24 hours ahead, and more in high season (November to February) when the good spas in Chiang Mai fill up in the evenings.
Yes — private rooms are available, including couples' rooms. Say so when you book so the right room is held for you.
Bring almost nothing. Loose spa clothing, towels and everything else needed is provided, and there are showers on site. Comfortable clothes to change back into afterwards are the only real recommendation.
Never expected, but it is customary in Thai spa culture and always appreciated. Fifty to a hundred baht for a therapist you were happy with is normal.
