This is the shorter, punchier version of the Mae Rim course — and for a lot of people it is the better one. Instead of grinding through nearly forty stations, you get eighteen, and the ones that were cut have been replaced by the three biggest adrenaline hits on the site: a giant swing, a 20-metre quick jump free fall, and a jungle bicycle suspended on a cable. It is about an hour of activity rather than ninety minutes, and it costs 200 THB less.
The zipline half is not a compromise. You still fly the same opening sequence of 30-, 20- and 40-metre cables, still climb the 8-metre monkey ladder and cross the 10-metre rope bridge, still take the 20-metre rope abseil, and still ride the 150-metre cable that is the longest flight in this package. Log bridges, cushioned bridges and the zigzag rotating bridge fill in between, so the circuit keeps changing character all the way round.
Then it gets silly in the best way. The sky tricycle and the suspended race car take you between platforms under your own pedal power, the mountain coaster sends you down a rail track of almost a kilometre at whatever speed your hand brake allows — up to 40 km/h — and the last three stations are the quick jump, a 20-metre controlled free fall where you simply step off a platform, the giant swing, and the jungle bicycle. The quick jump in particular is the one everybody films.
The package works exactly like the long one: a van picks you up from your hotel at one of four departure windows, the drive out is about an hour, and afterwards you choose either a Thai buffet lunch with drinks or coffee and cake at the cafe beside the waterfall. Water, a souvenir T-shirt and full activity insurance are included, and guides are posted along the route to clip you on and check your gear at every station.

A van collects you from your Chiang Mai hotel. Pick-up windows are 07:00-07:30, 09:30-10:00, 11:00-11:30 and 13:00-13:30; you pick one at the time of booking.
- 08:00
Arrival, T-shirt, harness and briefing
About an hour on the road. On arrival you are given your souvenir T-shirt, fitted with harness and helmet, and briefed on the pulley and lanyard system, braking and platform etiquette. No experience necessary.
- 08:20
Stations 1 to 7 — cables, ladder, bridge and abseil
Three short flights of 30 m, 20 m and 40 m to find your nerve, then an 8-metre monkey ladder, a 10-metre rope bridge and the 20-metre rope abseil — stepping backwards off a platform and walking yourself down the rope.
- 08:45
Stations 7 to 11 — the 150-metre flight and the bridges
The longest cable of this package, 150 metres over the canopy, followed by a 12-metre log bridge, a cushioned bridge and the zigzag rotating bridge, which is far harder to walk than it looks.
- 09:00
Stations 12 to 14 — sky tricycle and race car
A 5-metre monkey ladder brings you to the suspended sky tricycle, which you pedal along a cable between platforms, and then the mini race car on its overhead rail.
- 09:15
Station 14-15 — the jungle coaster
Two to a sledge on a rail track that runs for close to a kilometre, one to six metres above the forest floor, through jumps, twisters and camelbacks. Your hand brake sets the pace, up to 40 km/h.
- 09:30
Stations 15 to 18 — quick jump, giant swing, jungle bicycle
The finale, and the reason to choose this package. The 20-metre quick jump is a free fall on a controlled line — the hardest part is the first step. Then the giant swing launches you in a long arc over the trees, and the jungle bicycle pedals you home along a cable.
- 09:50
Lunch or coffee and cake
Choose one: the Thai buffet with drinks in the restaurant, or coffee and cake at the cafe looking out over the waterfall and the hills. Drinking water is provided.
- 11:00
Return transfer to your hotel
The van drives you back into Chiang Mai, about an hour, and drops you at your hotel. Later departures run the identical sequence shifted by the pick-up time.
Between 20 kg and 100 kg. The limits apply to every station including the giant swing and the quick jump, and they are not negotiable — they are the certified working load of the equipment. Tell us your weight when you book and we will confirm before you travel.
Choose 18 if you want the biggest single thrills and a shorter day: the giant swing, the 20-metre quick jump and the jungle bicycle only exist in this package, and the whole thing runs about an hour for 2,000 THB. Choose 37 if you want maximum time on the cables — that package adds the 400-metre flight, the tandem Honeymoon line, the sky skateboard, the climbing walls and the Kung Fu Walk, over roughly 90 minutes for 2,200 THB. Both include the mountain coaster, the meal, the T-shirt and the transfer.
Yes. It is station 14-15 of this circuit, so you ride it as part of the standard route at no extra charge — a rail track of almost a kilometre, one to six metres above the forest floor, with your own hand brake controlling the speed up to 40 km/h.
It is a 20-metre controlled free fall: you are clipped to a line that arrests the descent, but for the first couple of seconds you are genuinely falling. The step off the platform is the hard bit; the fall itself is over almost immediately. Guides talk you through it, nobody is pushed, and you can decline at the platform if you change your mind.
Sports clothing and closed trainers. The harness passes between your legs and around your waist, so shorts, leggings or light trousers are much more comfortable than a skirt or baggy clothing, and sandals and flip-flops are not allowed. Bring sunscreen, insect repellent and a phone secured on a strap.
Yes, the course operates year-round. Guides pause the circuit in heavy rain, thunder or lightning and restart once it is safe. If the entire day has to be cancelled because of weather, we will reschedule you or refund the booking in full.
The operator does not accept anyone who is unwell on the day, or anyone with a heart condition or high blood pressure. Tell us in advance if you are pregnant, have had recent surgery, or have back, neck or shoulder problems, and we will check with the site before confirming your place.
