Two very different ways of getting around the same hillside, back to back. First the short zipline circuit: 18 stations, two sky bridges, a net ladder, two rope abseils and cables of 200, 350 and 400 metres, strung through tropical rainforest an hour outside Chiang Mai. Then you come down to earth, swap the harness for a helmet, and ride an ATV onto the dirt trails that run through the same forest you have just been flying over. Combined activity time is around ninety minutes.
The zipline half is the same well-built short course as the standalone package — long enough cables to properly enjoy, two elevated walkways where you can stop and look at the ridges of canopy running to the horizon, and two abseils where you step backwards off a platform and lower yourself through the trees on a rope. It is a complete circuit, not a token taster bolted onto the ATV.
The ATV half of the day starts with instruction, not with the throttle. You get a briefing and a training session on the machine before you go anywhere, then follow a guide onto the trails — dirt tracks, ruts, mud and open stretches through the same hillside forest you have just been flying over. Helmets are DOT and CE rated. Drivers must be at least fifteen; children between seven and fourteen ride as passengers, and depending on how the driver handles the machine the guide may take the passenger instead.
Safety here is the selling point rather than an afterthought. All the hardware is Petzl, made in France and the same brand used by professional climbers and mountain rescue teams, and every station runs a dual-cable system so you are attached at two independent points the whole time. The guides are trained in CPR and first aid, and they clip and unclip you at each platform rather than leaving you to manage the carabiners yourself. The age range is deliberately wide — five to sixty-five — and the maximum weight is 120 kg, which is the most generous limit of any zipline course in the province. The site sits in tropical rainforest about an hour from the centre of Chiang Mai, and there are four pick-up windows a day: 08:00-08:30, 09:30-10:00, 11:30-12:00 and 13:00-13:30. Transfer both ways is included and can be by van, SUV, car or pick-up depending on group size. A Thai buffet meal and a bottle of water are part of the price, eaten at the cafe and restaurant beside the course, which looks out over the forest.

About an hour back into Chiang Mai. Later departures follow the same sequence shifted by the pick-up time.
Drivers must be at least 15 years old. Children between 7 and 14 can ride as passengers. Depending on how a driver handles the machine during the training session, the guide may take the passenger on their own vehicle instead — that call is made on the day, in the interest of the passenger.
No. The session starts with comprehensive instruction and a training run before you go anywhere near the trails, and a guide leads the ride and sets the pace. It is designed for people who have never sat on one.
The brochure gives the combined zipline-plus-ATV activity as approximately 1.5 hours, and prices the standalone ATV experience at 30 minutes of riding, so expect broadly half an hour on the machine after the hour on the cables. Duration varies with group size.
The zipline course takes ages 5 to 65 with a maximum of 120 kg per person — the highest weight limit of any course in the Chiang Mai area. The ATV has its own age rules: 15+ to drive, 7-14 as a passenger.
Closed sports shoes, and clothes you do not mind getting muddy — the ATV trails are dirt, and in the wet season they are wet dirt. Shorts or leggings work best with the zipline harness. Bring sunscreen, insect repellent and a phone on a secure strap.
Yes. The short zipline course alone is 1,800 THB and a standalone 30-minute ATV session is 1,500 THB — 3,300 THB apart, against 2,900 THB combined. If you want the longer zipline circuit with the 900-metre cable instead, the full course plus ATV is 3,500 THB.
Light rain is normal in rainforest and both activities continue. Guides pause the zipline for heavy rain, thunder or lightning; ATV trails get muddier, which most people enjoy. If the whole departure is cancelled for weather, we reschedule you or refund in full.
